November 2021 Update
Dear Friends, Partners, and Co-workers in Christ Jesus,
Greetings in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Grace to you and peace from our father and the Lord Jesus Christ, “Philippians 1:2”. On behalf of the entire team of Christ Gospel Fellowship Church of Rwanda and in particular the staff of ABC Kids Program, we are so thankful to the Lord for His Love and endless Mercy to us. Glory is to His Holy Name, now and forever. As it has been always, we have so many reasons to be thankful to God in our everyday life as the Word of God says, “Rejoice in the Lord always, I say it again; Rejoice” Philippians 4:4. Even today we have the reason to rejoice; everyday of our lives is a God given gift to celebrate His love and much better if we celebrate according to His will and fulfilling our purpose of creation. The word of God says” For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God created in advance for us to do” Ephesians 2:10. Thank God for each and every one who takes any step to serve in one way or the other, your labor in the Lord will be rewarded. |
ABC Kids Program:
Serving God through supporting the young generation in pursuing their education is building a family, Church and the Nation as well. Though interrupted by COVID-19 like every other sector worldwide, where there were some delays in the completion of the academic year together with difficulties in learning conditions but all in all God has been faithful. We thank God for the progress so far, the new academic year 2021/2022 started on 11th October, 2021. At this time all kids are able to go to their respective schools at the same time unlike the previous period. We thank God so much for this great achievement and also appreciate our government for all the efforts put together to control the spread of COVID-19. National Exams 2020/2021 Perfomance:
The Primary 6 and Senior 3 results were out and we had five kids in P.6; Jadine Iyamuduhaye, Lyza Ineza and Nelly Ineza Teta who passed with very good marks in Division 1, Kirezi Happy Valence in Division 2 and Daniel Mbarushimana in Division 3. We also had three kids in S.3; Ange Gatabazi, Divine Muhoracyeye who passed in Division 1 and Chantal Uwumuremyi in Division 2. Finally the S.6 results were out and we had five kids who graduated; Esther Mutoni, Christal Ngabo Icyeza, and Seraphine Ibyikora who graduated with Distinctions and Obed Mwiseneza and Albert Nahimana who graduated with passes. We are so grateful for your continued support in all aspects, may the Lord bless you for being there to serve in your time. |
Reaching Out to the ABC Kids’ Families:
During the holidays, we had some food items distributed to families. As we are still fighting the spread of Covid-19, we called the kids to collect food from their churches than going to homes. Below are just a few pictures of the event.

June 2021 Update
May 2021 Update
Dear Friends, partners, and co-workers in Christ Jesus,
Greetings in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
"Grace to you and peace from our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ." Philippians 1:2
On behalf of the entire team of Christ Gospel Fellowship Church of Rwanda, we are so much privileged and thankful to God for His enduring mercy that has kept us all throughout this season. Glory be to Him now and forever.
We are so much thankful to God for all that He is doing in our lives and ministry at large. We see the hand of God working out miracles in different ways. Sometimes we take things for granted but these last days are giving us lessons every day. At least today everybody can tell that the free air we breathe in is not free as we think but there is an invisible high price provided in advance because we cannot pay it by ourselves! We cannot give it equivalent value and lacking it in just a few minutes means losing a life. God can teach or testify His greatness even in things that we see as minor or small.
ABOUT ABC KIDS:
We thank God for having kept our kids safe at school for over five months; that is from November to end of March. All of us knowing the social life of young children we could not believe that they would manage to keep social distance and put on face mask all the days (those were the most challenges in common when each kid asked about challenges they faced at school) and other COVID-19 preventive measures. We give much respect to their teachers for the great job done and much prayers even in the coming school term because the pandemic still exists but the grace of God overflows.
THE MINISTRY IMPACT:
We cannot tell it all but we want to appreciate every one that gives in to support the kids especially in their education as a key to the better tomorrow. We just want to encourage you in simple words that you are sowing great seeds in His kingdom that are life changing for sure.

April 2021 Update
Dear Friends, partners, and co-workers in Christ Jesus,
Greetings in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Grace to you and peace from our father and the Lord Jesus Christ, “Philippians 1:2”. On behalf of the entire team of Christ Gospel Fellowship Church of Rwanda, we are so much privileged and thankful to God for His enduring mercy that has kept us all throughout this very challenging time when the whole world is facing the deadly pandemic of COVID-19 and its effects. The word of God tells us as believers that in everything we should be thankful to God. (1Thessalonians 5:18) This is not because there is joy in every situation but because when we seek God we realize His working in every situation. Here in Rwanda the 1st case of COVID -19 was identified on 14th March 2020. It was a shocking message to everyone who heard about it. I remember it was on Saturday and immediately the government announced quarantine throughout the country. All the public places including schools obviously were closed; leaving only very essential service providers to operate in small numbers and less hours where applicable. This must have been the first time such incidence occurred and hearing that it was almost worldwide caused a lot of fear and worry in the hearts of many people! We thank God so much for our government that put into practice all possible measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 as was done worldwide. Thank God for all the believers because even though the Churches were closed like other public gatherings, Christians never ceased to pray and this was time people prayed more than ever. I believe God heard prayers of all saints worldwide and He is in control over every situation. |
As for the ABC Kids program that God has entrusted us with, we want to take this opportunity to appreciate you for your continued support even during this very difficult time. This was the time children stayed at home without going to school for a very long time. It is also the time most of the parents lost their jobs especially those that do not have permanent jobs that pay on a monthly basis. It was a challenge to most of the families even to provide food for the family. The government provided for people in such category but it was not enough so we had to provide food support to these families in higher quantity than we have been doing. To some of them it was a miracle because no one expected it the way it happened. This was one of the activities that repeated itself many times in the kids’ program together with medical support and providing hygienic products.
|
It may sound simple to some people but I want to assure you that it impacted families even more than food or items’ value. Giving a package of rice, some cooking oil, and some sugar to a jobless person in unexpected! It was a gesture of extending the love of God that is never limited by the situations or hard times. The families appreciated it so much.
We want to thank you so much for your continued commitment to serve the Lord through His people. These are some of the good works that you will be awarded for by our heavenly Father. Thank you for being so supportive even in difficult and challenging times. God bless you always. See the gallery below for pictures that were taken at different occasions. They may not be all but just a few to highlight how the events were organized. Obviously on food distribution day all the measures of preventing the spread of COVID-19 are followed; that is washing hands with clean water and soap, keeping social distance and make sure all kids have their face masks worn correctly. |
Home visits not only allowed for delivery of food and other items but also provided time to pray and have talks with parents and kids. There are some kids who were almost giving up with school because they had spent too long at home, but through prayer and word of encouragement they made up their minds and went back to school; this was mostly with teenagers. We are thankful to God they are now doing well in school.
Apart from food support, there was close follow up on kids’ medication for those with special cases. We had about five kids among others with strong sight problems, two of them got eye glasses on their doctor’s prescription and three got treatment and close follow up is being done. Just want to highlight that though we pay medical insurance ( Mutuelle de santé) this does not cover all the medical bills especially buying medicine and medical glasses.
A word of appreciation:
We want take this opportunity to appreciate every hand and soul that seeks to serve God in one way or the other and just remind you that your labor in the LORD is not in vain. Maybe you sacrifice much to serve but we are always encouraged by the word of God in “Psalms 126:5 “
God bless you always,
